Studies for Determination of Good Engineering Practice Stack Height

Airflow around buildings often produces complex atmospheric effects, creating areas of strong turbulence and descent from the air to leeward of a building, resulting in the intensification of air pollutants at ground level. This effect is known as building downwash.

By applying the Good Engineering Practice (GEP) technique, recommended by the USEPA, QualityAmb determines the ideal height to be added to the stack, eliminating the action of the building downwash phenomenon, attenuating the concentrations of pollutants in the atmosphere.
